Drink plenty of fluids

To a certain generation of people around the world, Trinidad and Tobago is still best known from a World War II-era song, "Rum and Coca-Cola." The comic song, made famous by the Andrews Sisters, tells of the beauty and passion of the island's women, and the heat of the tropic sun. Apparently that sun has been too much for some foreigners A few European contestants fell ill during the shooting of swimsuit scenes at midday. But they recovered quickly.

Diversity is everywhere

Rana Raslan is the first Arab and first Muslim to represent Israel in the Miss Universe Pageant. Israel is the world's only predominantly Jewish nation, but it also has a large Arab population. Ms. Raslan's demographic uniqueness is not a big issue with her, but it has gained her a lot of media attention in Israel and around the world.
