All hail Allie! Allie LaForce of Ohio was crowned Miss Teen USA 2005 on Aug. 8, 2005. "La force" in French means "the power," and it was a fitting phrase for the effect she had on the live audience in the Cajun country of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Surprisingly, it was the first time for Ohio, the birthplace of seven U.S. presidents, to win the Miss Teen USA title. In the farms and forests of the cities of the Buckeye State, the victory was cause for celebration. |
