It was spring 2004 on the calendar, but dates didn't matter. It always feels like spring in South Beach, unless it feels like summer. The weather is hot, and the women are hotter.

This is the land of the fantastic faces and the perfect bodies. If you're merely attractive in South Beach, they say, "You poor dear! Get help!" If PNB comes calling, they introduce themselves with all the flair they can muster.

What does a gorgeous girl do to if she wants to be noticed in a place like this? She leaps into the air. These jumpers in swimsuits were competing in two contests, the 2004 Fitness South Beach Pageant, and the 2004 Ms. Bikini South Beach Pageant.

Do you know what nose art is? You've heard. On World War II bombers, the crewmen used to paint pictures of glamour girls in skimpy costumes. These South Beach contestants were like the nose art without the planes. They taxied, they soared, they dived. It was an air show, a bikini air show..

Holly Wilbur won the 2004 Fitness South Beach Pageant. Wendy Martin was the first runner-up, followed by Jennifer Zuba, Keri Bourg and Tricia Hoyt. Jennifer Zuba won the 2004 Ms. Bikini South Beach Pageant.

The first runner-up was Holly Wilbur, followed by Tricia Hoyt, Keri Bourg and Angelina Harvey.
