Why is the Okeefenokee the only swamp you know? It's the rhyming name, of course.

Why do you remember Harry Carey, Evel Knievel, Obi-Wan Kenobi? It's because those rhyming names just fasten themselves on your brain and refuse to let go. You may forget your anniversary, you may forget to pay your bills, you may forget everything you ever learned about world history. But when a name rhymes, you will never forget it.

Sarah O'Hara has an unforgettable name. Read it once and you cannot resist remembering. You are under its spell. Abra cadabra! Sarah O'Hara!

But this beauty queen doesn't really need a name to be unforgettable. Just ask the people in Idaho. She would make an indelible impression even if she were called Scarlett O'Hara, or Sarah Polk, or Milli Vanilli.

In October, Sarah O'Hara competes for the title of Miss Oktoberfest in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Every year, the largest Bavarian festival in North America invites eight beautiful Americans and eight beautiful Canadians to compete for the title. Some of the greatest names in pageantry have won it.

If you have already forgotten what the pageant is called, try this exercise to train your memory. Think of the name Sarah O'Hara (which you can't help doing anyway). Remember that O'Hara and October both begin with an "O." Remember that October is the month for Oktoberfest. And there you are. You remember the name of the pageant.
