Fit for the future | ![]() |
| You remember Sara Dusendang as Miss Michigan Teen USA, a girl who made the top 5 at Miss Teen USA 1999. That's a good memory for you, and an even better one for her. But time marches on. |

| That cute teenage girl has become an enchanting young woman. And the body that looked so pleasing in a teenager's swimsuit is now more toned than ever. It fairly gleams. For obvious reasons, she's competing in the Miss Fitness America system beginning in May 2003. How did she come to look so good? Clean living. She started out as a farm girl, doing all those chores that farm girls enjoy, taking in the fresh air and watching things grow. She was a superb young horsewoman, and in 1998 she was crowned National High School Rodeo Queen. She was the first girl from east of the Mississippi ever to win the title. |

![]() | In high school and in college (from which she recently graduated), there was more clean living. Besides lots of study, she was into cheerleading, our favorite sport. Some people say that a look at her in her cheerleading outfit could make an opposing quarterback call the wrong play. And speaking of wholesome, Ms. Dusendang designed a coloring book for children when she was a teenage beauty queen. |
| She's starting a career in public relations, but she's qualifying to become a personal trainer, and she designs fitness clothes. She was first runner-up to Miss Michigan USA in 2001, and she may try that system again. Ms. Dusendang is the best advertisement for clean living since Roy Rogers. Ride 'em, you hardbodied cowgirl!
