Shortcut
to big things

In early 1999, Southern California model Melanie Jayne appeared on the prestigious PNB cover. At that time, she was unknown to most of our readers, but they quickly took a fancy to her. Women called her lovely, and men called her luscious. (Both were right.) People wanted to see her again.

Well, it's 2000 now, and she's back. And she's changed!

To make a long story short, Melanie Jayne got a haircut. If you've ever asked yourself whether short hair can be feminine, now you know. And if you've ever asked yourself whether short hair can be sexy, you can stop asking.

Since you saw her in longer locks, the magnificent M.J. has been busy. She has appeared in TV commercials and posed for a provocative calendar. And she has moved beyond modeling, committing more of her time to pursuing an acting career.

You will be seeing more of her, if you haven't already.

But we hope you will always remember that moment when you saw her first, on pageant.com, when her hair was all the way down to her . . . lovely shoulders.
