Mrs. Kentucky Globe | ![]() |
| Kentucky has fast horses, fragrant tobacco, smooth bourbon, enchanting women. That's not an advertisement, it's just a fact. We don't endorse smoking, we don't encourage drinking, we don't approve of long, idle days at the racetrack. We certainly don't say you have to watch those enchanting women. But we like to watch them, and that's why we keep our eye on the Bluegrass State, a historic place that has lately been making pageant history. On April 15, 2000, Kentucky placed a new star on the pageant map. Robin Mosser, Mrs. Derby City, captured the Mrs. Kentucky Globe title. She also received the most votes over the Internet, won the People's Choice Award, was selected Mrs. of the Year and honored for Best Appearance. She will compete in summer with other American beauties for the chance to represent the country in the Mrs. Globe Pageant. The first runner-up to Mrs. Kentucky Globe was Mrs. Whitley County, Rhonda Arena, followed by Jeri Benzel, Mrs. Louisville, as the second runner-up. Mrs. Mosser is a new star, but not a new light. As director of the Miss Louisville Pageant in the Miss Kentucky system, she was at the starting gate when Heather French launched her successful run for the Miss America crown. Now she's in the running herself, and you can bet she won't be lost back in the pack. Did we say you could bet? Just a figure of speech. We don't encourage betting. |
