Heather Boilek is the 2005 Miss Teen Sugar Land International. "OK," you say, "but talk is cheap in the pageant world. What's international about her?"

Several things. She has relatives around the world, though some are very distant. She has traveled, she has read foreign books and seen foreign movies. She has a worldly attitude, in the very best way. And she lives in Texas, which actually used to be a country, so it's a very international state. Satisfied?

But here's the capper: She helps raise money for the education program of the Houston International Festival Foundation. She was crowned a princess at a fund-raiser spotlighting India. She plans to participate in the Houston mayor's gala to show India's fashion designs.

A cowgirl who sometimes wears a sari. Phenomenal! Thank you, Sugar Land.
