Meet Miss ZedarPhotos courtesy of Donna Cooney | |
| Chelsea Zedar has a last name that people remember. "It sounds exotic," one photographer said, "almost unearthly, but beautiful." The name must fit, because the photographer's description is just what we would say about Chelsea Zedar herself. You can't look away from her. And even if you forget her name, you will remember her face. |

![]() | She was born in Berlin, the historic German capital, while it was still a divided city. (That seems so long ago now, but she's still a very young woman.) She grew up in the American South, and was encouraged to try modeling and pageants when she was still a young girl. She was Miss Petite Teen Georgia 1998, Ms. Florida United States 2000, and has won more Photogenic titles than she can keep track of. |
| For the moment, she makes her home in Orlando. It's the center of American tourism, where there's a new fantasy world around every corner. And she's living a life that some people would call an American girl's fantasy: She's a college student, works for a modeling agency, has appeared on television and dated a rock singer. |

| Ms. Zedar would like to be Miss USA. She competes for the Miss Florida USA title on July 14, 2001. She would also like to be an actress. And Orlando is a great place for an aspiring actress to be noticed. And what was that name again? Chelsea. |
